This is an area of outstanding natural beauty; the landscape being predominantly fields and woodland with picturesque small towns and villages tucked into the hills and valleys, including Wiveliscombe, Milverton, Wellington, Bampton, Dulverton, Tiverton, and Taunton, the county town of Somerset. |

From Exmoor Gate, all surrounding areas are easily accessible, especially Exmoor National Park, which is just a short drive away. Both north and south coasts of Devon can be reached in under an hour, with dramatically different scenery, the ruggedly spectacular north coast from Minehead to Lynmouth, and the sandy beaches and seaside resorts of Exmouth, Sidmouth, and Seaton on the south coast.

| Exmoor National Park is a very special part of the South West, with its wild heather moorland, steeply wooded valleys and combes, and pretty villages with thatched cottages and old country pubs. Here you can walk, ride or cycle for miles across the varying landscapes of Exmoor, perhaps catching a glimpse of the red deer or Exmoor ponies. Wimbleball Lake is close to Exmoor Gate Lodges, where you can fish, sail, windsurf, or walk around this beautiful lake following the waymarked walks through the woods and meadows. |

If you are looking for top quality self catering accommodation in the South West of England, then come to Exmoor Gate, where you will find both lodge and cottage accommodation equipped to the highest standard. We have six lodges that sleep up to 5 people; a larger lodge sleeping up to 9, with its own private hot tub; one cottage sleeping 2.
Exmoor Gate has a very pretty setting in a small wooded valley overlooking the surrounding fields and woodland. Each lodge has its own patio, picnic bench and barbeque, and some have hot tubs. There is a games room for guests’ use, with table tennis, a pool table, and a toddlers’ play area, complete with ball pool! For older members of the family there is a well equipped gym and a sauna. There is also a small outdoor play area for children. We can provide welcome packs by arrangement, also catering for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. Just tell us what you would like us to include in your welcome pack, and it will be ready in your accommodation on your arrival.
