The self catering cottage and lodge accommodation at Exmoor Gate is in a lovely wooded hillside location, tucked into the beautiful Brendon Hills countryside. Only ten minutes drive from Exmoor National Park, and within easy reach of the Somerset and Devon coasts, it is a perfect base for touring this part of the South West of England. There are several interesting towns and villages nearby where you have a choice of places to eat and shop, including Wiveliscombe, Wellington, Taunton, Bampton and Tiverton. This is a small family-run park, where we will do all we can to make your stay with us enjoyable.

Our Lodges
Bratton, Dunkery, Honeymead, Liscombe, Molland, and Tarr Lodges all have a 4 star rating from Visit Britain. These two bedroom lodges sleep up to 5 people, with a ground floor twin bedroom, a double bedroom upstairs and a single bed on the galleried landing. Also on the ground floor is a bathroom with overhead shower, a well equipped kitchen and open-plan lounge/diner. All are double glazed and have night storage heating, making them ideal all year round accommodation, whatever the weather. Bratton, Dunkery, Honeymead, Liscombe and Tarr have private hot tubs, whilst Liscombe, Molland and Tarr accept pets – please ask when booking. Liscombe and Tarr accepts pets, but also have their own private hot tubs. Electricity for the hot tubs is included. There is a coin meter for all other electricity. Barbecues are also available to hire.
Our lodges provide light and airy Scandinavian style self-catering accommodation. They have a hillside location in a pretty wooded valley, each having its own private patio with picnic bench.
We have six lodges that sleep up to 5 people, and a larger one, new in 2006, sleeping up to 9.
Withypool is a luxurious four bedroom lodge sleeping up to 9 people. Newly built in 2006, it provides fabulous family accommodation, with its own private outdoor hot tub. On the ground floor there is a twin bedroom, a shower room, a large, comfortable and stylish open plan kitchen/diner and lounge which opens
up onto a veranda where there is a picnic bench and barbeque. Upstairs the main bedroom has a kingsize double and a single bed, and an ensuite bathroom. There are two further spacious double rooms, each with a kingsize bed, and a family bathroom with bath and overhead shower. There is a coin meter for electricity. Electricity for the hot tub is included. Withypool Lodge is suitable for partially disabled guests – please check when making your booking.
We have a games room for all guests’ use, with table tennis, a pool table*,football table*,a gym and fitness room, a sauna* (*coin-operated), and a young children’s indoor play area. There is also a outdoor play area for children. Also for our four legged friends we have a dog walk. All our lodges are non smoking for your enjoyment, however you are more than welcome to smoke on the veranda.

Appley Cottage
Ideal for couples looking for a romantic break, Appley is a comfortable one bedroomed cottage. There is an open plan kitchen/dining and comfortable seating area, a double bedroom and a bathroom.
